Lindsay Daniel Architecture appoints Cathy Hedman as project manager
Lindsay Daniel Architecture, a residential design firm specializing in couture architecture, has promoted Cathy Hedman to project manager. Hedman, an interior design and architectural technology graduate, joined Lindsay Daniel Architecture in May 2005 as a project designer. In her new position, she will focus on maintaining client relationships in addition to managing projects. Before joining Lindsay Daniel Architecture, Hedman served as a production designer for Don Duffy Architecture. Lindsay Daniel Architecture, established in 1990, specializes in personalized residential and resort design services for new home construction, remodeling, and renovations.
Health First hires HuntonBrady to design new hospital
Health First has made HuntonBrady Architects the architect of record for the design of its new Viera Hospital, which will be a 100-bed facility and which is set to open in the fall of 2010. In the past, HuntonBrady has designed a number of other healthcare facilities, including the H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center Outpatient Clinic and Vincent A. Stabile Cancer Research Laboratory in Tampa, FL. Health First was formed in 1995 as a local nonprofit health system when Cape Canaveral Hospital, Holmes Regional Medical Center, and Palm Bay Community Hospital joined their facilities.
Perkins+Will acquires Rozeboom Miller Architects
Leading national sustainable-design firm Perkins+Will has announced that it has acquired Minneapolis-based regional architecture firm Rozeboom Miller Architects. Rozeboom Miller Architects, founded in 1997, specializes in designing K-12, civic, and cultural facilities. The acquisition is expected to help Perkins+Will become a leader in the area of 11-14 education, a growing market within the education sector.
