BIM Jobs description
The most known jobs in the area of BIM or building information modeling include positions like BIM manager, architecture BIM manager, BIM application support specialist, architectural BIM coordinator, engineering BIM coordinator, BIM coordinator, BIM /CAD manager, and BIM operator. Typical duties of a BIM professional include working closely with design staff, defining standards for architectural design software, using existing standards, providing upper-level support for organizing project data, developing custom procedures, working closely with studio leaders, keeping updated on the new trends in the architectural design industry, and participating in meetings. A BIM manager typically reports to an architectural engineering director.A BIM manager should have a degree in architectural engineering or civil engineering. Several years of experience in the field of building information modeling may be required. Excellent academic credentials is an advantage. Excellent designing skills are essential.
