The Lead Solutions Architect will be involved in any innovation initiatives within the enterprise-level infrastructure and cloud platforms. He/She is involved with the planning, design, and engineering of said initiatives. The Lead Cloud Architect's work assignments involve moderately complex to complex issues where they must factor in technical, and non-technical variables to be able to present a holistic view to stakeholders. Ability to take directions and operate independently is highly sought after for this Job.
Responsibilities
The Lead Innovation Solutions Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications for cloud computing environments. Develops specifications for new IT cloud computing products and service offerings as it pertains to improving processes for existing architecture or net new architecture. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent technologies. The candidate will work on projects that aims to reduce complexity and costs associated with existing technology investments. The candidate will be part of Humana's innovation initiative to adopt StartUp culture and practices with an Enterprise frame of mind. Creates POC that may involve coding mockups and workflows to realize an innovative idea. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.
This Lead Solutions Architect will focus on the following activities:
Work on innovations initiatives that provides value to the organization in cost savings in time or licensing.
Learn and understand existing Cloud Architectural Patterns and Implementations.
Evolve and grow the current innovation inititive to adopt StartUp Culture and practices with an Enterprise frame of mind.
Identify and create Architectural patterns with a goal to innovate through improving existing processes.
Identify opportunities to enhance existing processes.
Create Application Mockups and POC on innovation ideas.
Prioritize projects based on customer needs and timelines.
Interface with a variety of application and infrastructure teams to gather requirements and understand pain points.
Effectively communicate project status and timelines to leadership
Additional Job Description Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
5 years of infrastructure Architecting experience in Cloud (Azure preferred)
Any experience working with a Startup that is more than 12 months.
Demonstrated familiarity with the following architectural patterns:
Application Development
Cloud Virtual Machine Infrastructure
Cloud PaaS
Cloud SaaS
Demonstrated experience designing and implementing:
End to End Front end and/or Backend Architecture
Understanding Security Requirements and creating architectures around security considerations.
Demonstrated ability to identify inefficiencies within an existing technology process or weakness within an architectural pattern.
Demonstrated experience learning new technologies, applying new skills, and sharing with peers and customers
Demonstrated experience with relevant scripting languages or programming frameworks desired - BASH, PowerShell, NodeJS, Java, .Net, etc.
Demonstrated experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub, ADO, Jenkins, Argo, etc.), container deployments (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and cloud automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, Puppet, etc.... )
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Additional Information
Humana and its subsidiaries require vaccinated associates who work outside of their home to submit proof of vaccination, including COVID-19 boosters. Associates who remain unvaccinated must either undergo weekly negative COVID testing OR wear a mask at all times while in a Humana facility or while working in the field.
Work-At-Home Requirements
WAH requirements: Must have the ability to provide a high speed DSL or cable modem for a home office. Associates or contractors who live and work from home in the state of California will be provided payment for their internet expense.
A minimum standard speed for optimal performance of 25x10 (25mpbs download x 10mpbs upload) is required.
