We are looking for a Senior Application Architect to join our team that is passionate about becoming a key team member that integrates complex solutions into the ecosystem while accomplishing business and IT goals and objectives. The Senior Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards.

The Senior Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction.

Additional responsibilities include:

Drive product and platform innovations, capacity planning, roadmaps, upgrades and future technologies.

Perform analysis and design, requirements gathering, documentation, programming, testing, system installation and/or conversion and general troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Defines and refines enterprise technology standards, reference architecture, and build tools for the enterprise.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field or equivalent experience

7 or more experience as a senior developer in large IT projects

Ability to express complex application and infrastructure architectures in both visual and written formats to both technical and non-technical audiences

Relational Database Architecture (MangoDB/Oracle/MySQL/PostgreSQL/Microsoft SQL) experience

Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

Ability to be flexible in a very fluid and dynamic environment

Must be extremely well-organized and capable of handling multiple (and sometimes conflicting) priorities effectively

Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills

Additional Information

For this job, associates are required to be fully COVID vaccinated, including booster or undergo weekly COVID testing and wear a face covering while at work. The weekly testing will need to be done through an approved Humana vendor, and unvaccinated associates should follow all social distancing and masking protocols if they are required to come into a Humana facility or work outside of their home.
