Description
The Lead Application Architect designs and develops IT applications architecture solutions to business problems in alignment with the enterprise architecture direction and standards. The Lead Application Architect works on problems of diverse scope and complexity ranging from moderate to substantial.
Responsibilities
You have the unique opportunity to build a brand new Intranet technology experience from the ground-up. You will have the opportunity to be part of the team from platform/vendor selection through multiple phased implementation approach utilizing leading industry leading technology platforms and design approach.
The Lead Application Architect performs technical planning, architecture development and modification of specifications. Develops specifications for new products/services, applications and service offerings. Assesses the compatibility and integration of products/services proposed as standards in order to ensure an integrated architecture across interdependent applications. Advises executives to develop functional strategies (often segment specific) on matters of significance. Exercises independent judgment and decision making on complex issues regarding job duties and related tasks, and works under minimal supervision, Uses independent judgment requiring analysis of variable factors and determining the best course of action.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a variety of SharePoint / SharePoint Online centric solutions, including:
Web Content Management (e.g. Intranet, SaaS sites, Mobile )
Collaboration (e.g. Teams/Project/Yammer sites, Search)
Business process management (e.g. workflow, electronic forms)
Document Management (e.g. custom content types, policies, metadata)
Recommend best-in-class solution architecture identifying functional as well non-functional parameters.
Act as a senior technical resource and guide the project teams as well as business partners on important technological decisions and ensure delivery of projects on-time and with quality.
Participate with work teams in an agile manner participating in design, development and testing reviews.
Provide detailed architecture analysis and design, and direction on development activities.
Provide leadership in gaining insight on functional and non-functional requirements related to technical delivery of projects.
Assist in the creation of prototypes, POCs, presentations, wireframes, architectural patterns, etc.
Provide documentation on all architecture decisions and best practice approaches to architecture design implementation based on communication with project teams.
Design and development of enterprise applications utilizing components of the Microsoft platform as well as integrating the platform with other enterprise services throughout Humana.
Work as both an individual contributor and team member on projects.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
8 or more experience as a software development in large IT projects
Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).
Ability to come up with creative solutions for ambiguous problems and become the SME for Humana's Intranet application.
Preferred Qualifications
Deep and demonstrated understanding of Microsoft M365 capabilities, software architecture principles as applies to solutions and application architectures (specifically for portals, web sites and systems integration projects).
Solid understanding and proven ability with SharePoint Online, Office 365, Web parts, Azure Dev Ops, Web services, WCF, SharePoint Designer, SharePoint features and ASP.NET.
Experience with other products in SharePoint ecosystems.
Deep knowledge of the Microsoft technology stack with demonstrated expertise on the SharePoint platform and experience with enterprise projects on SharePoint including intranet or extranet portals.
Experience with creation and modification of master/layout pages, web parts and other components.
Relevant working experience including expertise in 'Enterprise Architecture' consulting skills such as interviewing stakeholders, conducting architecture reviews, and consensus building.
