OVERVIEW
Pyatt Builders and Finecraft is a locally owned New Home Builder, building throughout the Greater Indianapolis area. Our team is made up of innovate thinkers who enjoy giving our Homeowners flexibility to make their new home fit their needs.
The Architect/CAD Technician position includes both drafting lot specific drawings, and creating new floor plan / elevation design, depending on experience. The candidate for this position should be both creative and detail oriented. Architecture receives redlined floor plans from the Design Studio to create lot specific drawings from for each home built. This position works closely with the Design Studio, Purchasing/Estimating, and the Construction Field team.
POSITION DESCRIPTION
Essential Duties
Complete lot specific drawings for all homes to be built.
Revise plans as necessary including redlines and change orders.
Assure that lot specific prints are accurate and distributed to all necessary departments.
Complete and maintain master drawings of all floor plans.
Create lot specific collateral drawings for meetings
Work with various departments to ensure design and project success.
Prepare, coordinate & complete architectural development and detailing by guiding objectives and concepts, final detailing, material selection.
Creation of necessary architectural details for elevations, design options and field requirements.
Develop elevation concepts and solutions which meet the design requirements.
Develop new plans to meet the needs of today's Homeowners.
Provide concept plans in sufficient time to develop and meet established roll-outs.
Qualifications & Experience
Professional degree in Architecture from an accredited college/university.
Thoroughness in drawing & communicating design
Ability to prioritize daily tasks and ability to multi-task.
Proficient in Auto CAD without any further training.
Knowledge of Indiana Building Code.
Microsoft Office Suite Experience
Strong Communication, both verbal and written
Synergistically work with management and across departments, according to company values and culture code.
